Meet Our Staff

Wendy Knowles
Program Manager

Ms. Knowles, a Certified Counselor in Washington state,  has provided behavioral and language intervention for children with autism since 1996, with an emphasis on the basic principles of applied behavior analysis. Her experiences have included intervention for children with autism and their families in home and group settings, training home tutors in program implementation, and collaborating with children's school personnel in the areas of data collection, the development of individualized motivational systems, inclusive programming curriculum modifications, and social skills training. She has provided numerous individualized and group trainings for teachers and support staff in school districts throughout Washington state, focusing on providing behavior analytic services in inclusive settings. She has also conducted many in-service training workshops for area parents and related service providers.

Ms. Knowles has a BA in Psychology from Lynn University and is currently completing a Master’s in Counseling with a specialty in Applied Behavior Analysis at Nova Southeastern University. She spent 5 years as the Assistant Coach of the Area 19 Special Olympics Team, 2 years providing aquatic therapy services in the APEC swimming program, and received awards for outstanding service in 1985 from the Special Olympics committee, in 1986 from King 5 Television, in 1988 from the Mayor of Auburn, and 1998 from FEAT of Washington, and in 2008 from Teachers – Teachers.com.
