Niemi
began working with people with developmental disabilities while earning her Bachelors degree in Psychology in 2007. She interned providing music therapy, conducting social groups and providing group and individual instruction to adults with developmental disabilities and mental disorders.
After graduating, she began working as a behavior therapist in California providing intensive applied behavior analytic interventions to a wide range of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. As a lead behavior therapist, she conducted trainings, did parent and school consultations, analyzed data for reports and program changes and continued to design and implement programs for children.
Ms.
Niemi
attended the University of Washington and received her Masters degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2010. While at the UW, Melissa worked in several classrooms at the Experimental Education Unit, including project DATA.

is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
